My name is Maia, and I am a Professional Geologist, licensed in California and Utah. I worked for over a decade in oil and gas and founded Maia C. Davis, Inc. in 2021 in order to expand my portfolio as a soil scientist, farmer, and winemaker while continuing to work in groundwater conservation in active oil fields. The new branch of my career has allowed me to pursue my passion of the intersection of viticulture, winemaking, geology, and soils, referred to commonly as Terroir. I am happy to pursue this passion in El Dorado County, California, where I was born and raised.

My current expertise includes soil descriptions and land use determination for agricultural and residential development; educational program development in geology, soil, and wine; Class II Injection permit requirements and protocols.
